Across the fence lies Home too

Secret Santa

Sometimes the best thing you can wish for is the love of your family and friends and their good health. This wouldn't resonate with me one bit sometime ago when I was adrenaline pumping 18 hours a day at work or dead tired on days off but over the past few months it makes all the more sense.I never thought this was going to be so hard , m current reality has shifted so dramatically over the past two months that now coming to grips with it is making me realize how lucky I am to be surrounded by so much love and so much goodwill. The road ahead is long and all I can do is pray that I do good. Keep my head down but chin up and work.

Santa came early this year and this was no ordinary stop off, I couldn't have asked for anymore this Christmas  than the love of friends and family. Yesterday came as a surprise as our neighbors invited us over for a meal. I decided to surprise them and whip up some chocolate mousse for the little guys but the tables soon turned. The feast that awaited us was more than a scrumptious mouth full because everything that once seemed like a friendly conversation about food preferences with my neighbor had been worked into the meal. From Aloo methi which is my favorite to a lovely paneer mutter for my sister. The love and effort that went into the meal was something that ive seen so much of in the past month and it just got me emotional. the piece De resistance was the chocolate cake made from scratch which was absolutely moist and delicious topped up with butter cream icing which I was quizzed about without even knowing. Thank you, I'm going to miss all of you.
